This painting is from a series of (slightly) smaller studies inspired (mainly) by the magnificent landscape of the border area of Wales and England (The Marches) - and sometimes further afield.

All these landscapes studies are based on my observations: sketches; photos; or even memory. My goal is to capture the essence of this landscape with free and expressive brushwork and to focus on simplicity of composition.

The final artwork will be shipped protected with sturdy cardboard. UK orders will be shipped using Royal Mail's special delivery service. International orders will be shipped using Royal Mail's international tracked service. Other shipping options can be accommodated if required – please add a note on your order.
